Mexico Medical Mission Trip

October 20-25, 2003

Hands Across The Border has been helping missionaries and local churches in Mexico since 1990. The ministry has helped build and support three children's homes, and several churches in Mexico.

In recent years, the ministry has expanded to provide help to missionaries and churches in Canada, South America, Central America, the Appalachian area of West Virginia and the Indian Reservations in the Western U.S. and Canada.

About four or five medical mission trips are made to Mexico each year. Two of them are scheduled to coincide with the times of the Spring and Fall breaks for the students at UAMS. In 1994, Hands Across The Border joined with UAMS BSU to arrange medical mission trips for the students. Metro Student Ministry replaced that organization and for several years Hands Across The Border has worked with Metro Student Ministry to schedule the trips for the students. To see pictures of a previous medical mission team, Click Here: Medical Mission Team In Mexico.

Our next trip, scheduled for the UAMS Fall Break, will be October 20-25, 2003. There will be room for six (6) students. There is a special seat on one of the vans just for you. The first six (6) students to make a commitment to go on the trip will be given the seats. You may make your commitment to me by e-mail and by sending your fee to the address listed below.

The cost per person, for expenses, with all seats being filled on the Vans is $325.00 (tax deductible) and will need to be received by October 13. The fee will be refunded if something happens and you cannot make the trip. It will cover the cost of insurance, transportation, food and lodging. Food (snacks, fruit and drinks) to eat along the way will be provided on the vans. Anything you buy at stops along the way will be at your own expense.

If you do not already have an entry visa for Mexico, it will cost you about $22.00 at the border to get one. That will be your only expense from departure to return.

Send your check or money order to:
